If someone has the 2019 TRD Pro, would you mind sharing the roof rack dimensions, or the total height with the car?

    Is plasti-dip a mod?!
The 2019 gets the fj cruiser style, is it the same weight limit?

remember driving conditions may affect the weight 65mph is probably the fastest you'll want to go with full weight.

Good reminder, don’t usually haul a lot on the top, but I really like the fj style rack. It looks so much more purpose built, and the unusual style is cool.

I see a few have answered your question … I’m curious if this new 2019 rack will fit previous year 5th gens without any mods … meaning using same mounting locations … kind of liking it; does anyone know?

Think I’m going to call Toyota parts department tomorrow to confirm if it does or doesn’t fit; will let ya know … searched for pics the other night on google and sure looks like same mounting points with the exception of a spread footing plate.

I'm sure it will fit perfectly since it's the same vehicle but I have a difference of opinion on the looks of it....dam ugly!

Yes I was looking for a total height from the ground to the top of the 2019 TRD PRO Rack. The vehicle looks tall with the new rack and was wondering if it would fit in a home garage? If anyone out there can verify height that would be much appreciated.

That was indeed my original question. Toyota specs show 72' for the TRD Pro vs. 71.5' for other models. I don't think it includes the roof rack.

Well, I called parts department at two different dealerships on Monday here in Tennessee and neither one had anything yet (specs & part#) on the 2019 T4R Pro roof rack; both associates said it could be another 3 months or more …

The design for the 5th gen 4Runner has not changed in the slightest. They are not going to change tooling or hardware (roof rack holes) so late in the product's life-cycle .If you manage to get ahold of Pro roof rack, know that it will ABSOLUTELY fit any 5th gen 4Runner (get all the hardware!).

They bolt these on (along with Fox shocks and plastic bits) portside here in the states. Try to find a Pro buyer who wants another rack and buy it from them, I shudder to think what Toyota would charge for one of these brand new.

Yeah, I ended up buying the OR for this reason - I need to get into parking garages in downtown Toronto and the Pro wouldn’t always fit. Also, it’s a matter of taste but that roof rack is ugly, IMHO and bound to be noisy. Of course, if you’re an overlander and need it then you do what you have to do. The most that will be on mine is a canoe or kayak and the low profile one on the OR does that and looks classy when not in use. Personally I try to avoid the road warrior look unless it’s necessary.

Thanks mrwyoming. Too high for most parking garages in Toronto. Over 200 Cm won’t work

Haha, taste is so subjective, eh. I’m surprised Toyota didn’t focus group that design. For me the height was the kicker. I was going to get a Pro. Their roof rack, though, looks too much like something I’d weld up myself from scrap pipe. If you’re a Bedouin crossing the Sahara, I’m sure it works well, though.

I’m not a fan of that rack at all. Like it’s been mentioned, left over FJ parts.

    The same 4Runner everyone has
But it's not. The FJ rack has 6 attachment points for a full-length rack on its stubby roof. The 4Runner has only 4 like always for a half-length.

Yes, this means that Toyota had to go and design something this ugly all over again.
