2019 Limited. The front passnger seat belt is having a hard time engaging, and then sometimes we have a hard time releasing when we press the red button.
I have lubed it, to no avail. Cycled it several times with the lube, liquid teflon..
Is it easier to just by a new one? Or is this a common problem? Fix?

    Oooh look, another mod.....
If it has problems engaging, it may have commitment issues.

I would, at a minimum, inquire with the dealer being that is with the seat belts to see if it is still covered under warranty?

Is there a chance something spilled on the buckle, like a soda drink? There’s a bit of small moving parts in a buckle, and seeing that you are having a hard time latching and the buckle is not ejecting could be due to a foreign object. I had a buddy get soda in a buckle and the same thing happened.

I’m not sure where the position sensors in the buckle are located so I’d be hard pressed to get degreaser in there. I would use CRC electrical cleaner since it’s non-conductive to clean the buckle and see if that does the trick.
