I just recently bought my first 4Runner and it’s a 2017 SR5. I’ve been looking for mods to make it look cooler and don’t know what kind of tires to get. I’m not using it for off roading, just driving around town. My friend recommended getting 275’s, any thoughts on tires or other things to make it look better? Pls help I’m just a girl.

You can improve looks just going to a more aggressive AT tire even in stock 265. 275s I think you will find limited choices and most will be load range E. They will fit but rougher ride with the E.

Lots of good user feedback on the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT for being a aggressive looking tire that still rides well on pavement. Good luck. 285 will have more choices but likely requires some trimming of plastic to not rub.

Try to keep the tire weight around 50 lbs.

Old thread but will show you some pics to see what you like.

I regret getting 275/70R17. 99% of 275/70R17 tires are load E tires. It had harsh on road comfort. I sold they at a loss.
(At that time there was only 1 Load C option and it was very heavy.)

    Oooh look, another mod.....

Get pink tires. You can flex really hard on all 4Runner boys.
