2016 trail wheel spacer

Hi folks I have Rims for a 2019 Tacoma OEM. Tried to get them on my 2016 trail to find that they fit in the back but not the front due to the offset being 15 on the 4 runner and 30 on the Tacoma rims , don’t quote these # going of memory.
Would a wheel spacer fix this issue , if so which are the best brands..???
Would this affect the ride , if a wheel spacer is installed do you need a wheel alignment

Do you know what it is they’re catching on? I thought tacos typically came with 16” wheels, but a 16” wheel won’t quite clear the brake calipers in the front of a 4Runner?

if I’m totally wrong and that’s not the issue... the difference in backspacing between 30 and 15 offset is only roughly a half inch. The minimum spacer size is 1” to where you don’t have to trim your studs to fit them; the most popular/common size used though is 1.25”, and the most popular/trusted brand is spidertrax.

If it’s the calipers you need to clear though, I’m not sure if 1.25 would be enough.

Wheel spacers can somewhat actually improve your handling, because you are increasing your track width (no different than running the equivalent offset/backspaced wheel). Technically they could slightly alter your alignment numbers, but not to the extent that you would need another alignment (and again, this is no different from changing to a different offset/backspaced wheel)

The rim size is 17
And it is the caliber in the front
