I bought a 2016 4runner, but it just came with a single key. There is no remote with it. I have to always use the key to open and lock my car. Can anyone help me out? Where can I get the fob and program it? I am just looking for a cheap way out and don't want to go for the dealership.

There are many posts on this topic and the very high prices dealers usually quote for a replacement key.
I saved this screen shot of a source for our key blanks.
I have a 2017 and my daughter a 2019 which are the same type key you have.
If you get a key blank from them please let us know how it goes. I think there is not only key teeth cutting but also programming its chip required. I would seek an independent locksmith.

You probably know by now that the pre-2020 4Runner models (not sure about the Limited) do not have a separate fob, it is part of the key, as shown above in the left hand photo.
