2015 Toyota 4Runner Sr5 Driver side Leak

Hi guys,

I havent introduced myself and I will later but I need to fix a problem ASAP. I live in Vancouver and right now its raining super hard.

My driver side seatbelt is wet and I see it is leaking from the top liner. I see it also dripping down into my driver side rear liner above the wheel well, there is a cup holder there so it was filled up with water. Can anyone help me fix this problem?

What I think is the drain from the sunroof is clogged, I know there are 2 holes at the front of the sunroof but that does not connect to the problem I have. Im guessing there are 2 holes at the back of the sunroof that is not accessible that runs through my problem. I see that the drain tube is behind my Jack in the rear but I need to access from where the water comes out and poke it through with a weed whacker wire.

Anyone have other solutions? I really do not want to take out my head liner as its only on one side of the car

Can also check the bolts for the roof rails.

Might of rusted and leaking there.

 

I have checked, I changed my roof rack to a trd pro roof rack in August, since then there were rain storms as well and no problem till now.

 

Honestly even more so I would check if I touched it.

But I'm pretty sure someone will chime in. I do not believe you need to remove the headliner for the sunroof drain. I don't have one so I don't know exactly where it is.

The roof rack change seems to me to be the primary thing to investigate. If there's a problem with the seal, it could be been leaking for longer than you think, just not in a way that's evident in the cabin.

 

An UPDATE:

It was the rack, it pooled water and also created condensation, I had to take off the roof liner and dry it all out, it was a long semi difficult process (7hours) Hopefully it solved everything
