2007 limited 4.7L transmission cooler line leak

    My lower trans cooler line (part# 3292160380) is leaking. I've ordered the replacement upper and lower. I have 268000 miles and don't recall ever changing the fluid. Do I change the fluid and filter or just top off what's needed?

    You can do it either way.

    Easiest is to just top it off. My preference would be to drop the pan, replace the strainer (it's not a filter) and then refill with fresh fluid.
