2002 4Runner ABS activation

Hello everyone,

I have a problem with the ABS system on my 2002 that's very annoying. When I drive the 4Runner my ABS will activate at certain combinations of speed and road curvature when I turn to the right. Doesn't matter if it's uphill, downhill or straight and level. ABS never activates when turning to the left.

I took my 4Runner to my nearby Toyota service center. With my driving the vehicle, the service technician hooked up a code reader but couldn't get any codes for ABS system failure other than a code indicating ABS had activated.

Any ideas on how to proceed?

Dumb question but ABS is activating when you're braking and turning right? I'd see if independent shops can take a look. There's more to diagnosis than a code reader and sadly it can be hit-and-miss finding your "Dr. House" for this patient.
