When I start my 4Runner it turns over several times before it cranks. Then when I push the accelerator it shuts off. Any ideas?

JK, Check for codes? Could be something easy like a hole in the intake, like around the MAS near the filter. Start there.

What does "turns over before it cranks" mean?

I'm guessing he means that it cranks for a while before it fires up, but who knows?
