2000 4Runner limited 2wd 252k. Bought it and it was fine, no miss/lights. Filled up the tank. The next day had a hard miss, when stopped/parked like it was going to die but didn’t. Check engine light showed misfire cylinder 3. Mechanic ran compression test/checked plugs/wires. Moved cylinder 3 injector to cylinder 1, the misfire moved it with it. So now we have a misfire on cylinder 1 instead of 3. Replaced that injector. Misfire lessened but didn’t go away. Replaced coil pack on cylinder 1, replaced all plugs and plug wires and o rings on injector 1,3, and 6. Check engine now flashes when you have a hard acceleration above 40mph and is throwing misfire cylinder 1 and 6. Does anyone have any suggestions

With so much missfire, I'd do a pressure test and test the fuel regulator. You may not be getting proper fuel due to a bad fuel pump or bad fuel regulator.

Did you use TOYOTA o-rings? They are NOT the same as the o-rings you pull out of a generic o-ring box.

Did you use a TOYOTA injector and coil pack? Aftermarket injectors\coil packs\sensors do not work for crap.

All Toyota parts were put on. Every time we replace something the miss gets better but doesn’t go away. The mechanic that done the compression test said it seemed like we got bad gas, we put the cleaner through it and it did nothing. Ran premium, nothing changed. That’s when we swapped the injectors around and found the bad one. The misfire moved with the bad injector. So that’s a tell sign that the injector was the problem. We put a brand new one, and the misfire stayed. We started it up one day and it was misfire 1, another day it was 1,2,3,4,6. Next day 1 and 6. Now a few days later it’s sticking with 1 and 6, but only misfires at 40/45 with a hard gas.
