    Hey everyone,

I’m from Maui, Hawai'i, and I was in an accident exactly a year ago. Unfortunately, I’ve been too busy to address the damage until now. I hit a tree and damaged the front end of my 4Runner, causing the airbags to deploy.

So far, I’ve replaced the alternator, belts (except the timing belt, which was replaced about a year before the accident and still looks good), radiator support, and radiator (though the hoses aren’t hooked up yet). I also have a new AC condenser but haven’t installed it yet. Additionally, I changed the spark plugs and wires, and installed a new battery. I’ve checked all the fuses, and they seem fine.

However, when I try to start it, the engine cranks but won’t start. I haven’t changed the fuel since the accident, but I did check the fuel line, and fuel is flowing through it.

Does anyone have any ideas on what could be the issue? I could really use some help.

    Mahalo!

Pull a spark plug and check for spark.
If no spark, the ECU doesn't feel the engine is in time. Check your crank sprocket for damage. Check your crank and cam sensors. Check their wiring.

If spark, then do a fuel pressure test.

Check your COR (circuit open) relay. Although if your fuel pump is working, this should be ok.

Hey negusm, I am getting sparks from all my spark plugs and the wires. I just tried to put starter fluid but it still didn’t start. So even if the fuel wasn’t getting there the starting fluid should have started it. I am so lost right now. Any more ideas on what to check? Mahalo!

I agree, if you have spark, starting fluid should do something.
