finished my first motor swap 2 weekends ago with some friends and it was very satisfying to accomplish it and the motor run and drive. Have to change the timing belt which I have already had 2 opportunities to do (before I dropped the new motor in the truck and when I changed the water pump 2 days ago lol) so learn from my mistakes and if you are getting a motor from a salvage yard spend the little extra time and money and change the water pump and timing belt before putting it in. I will post more pictures soon

Nice work! Hope your planning on flushing the coolant, that t-stat and water pump look ruff.

It has new 50/50 mix for now and I will be doing a complete flush and fresh oil change once I get it timed and running good since it currently has a mix of new and old oil because we were low when we first put it together so we mixed for temporary to get it running to tune, thank you for checking and keeping me on my toes

yea its definately a learning experience, and i realized you said the water pump looked bad, it has a brand new water pump now and i just ordered the timing kit with new tensioner and pullies and a new belt. once they come in i will get it installed and hopefully it will stay timed and not get thrown out of whack as soon as i give it throttle. cant wait to get it road worthy and start driving it..... also need to reinstall the nuts for the sway bar (previous owner unbolted it for off roading and it sways like crazy when driving on the road)
