You need to take a hard look at the frame, seeing that fender rust would make me concerned about what else is rusted through.

might want to check the year, as V6 was not available for the 1st gens 'til 1989. As a parts rig-since no title-you may get the most $$. Saw a pretty rusted one sell on bring a trailer for around $7k, but it had a title.

No title hurts. It’s really only useful for someone that wants a farm truck or to build an offroad rig that needs to be trailered. Probably a few thousand bucks.

Why doesn't it have a title? Is this a case where you get it, try to title it and find out someone else has been looking for it? Lots of miles on it? How's the maintenance been on it? Did the clutch engage smooth? I would not let the fenders bother me, replace 'em and drive it. If it's mechanically pretty sound it should be worth 2500-3000, I'm guessing, that's what I'd pay.

Hey thanks for the reply back guys, bought truck off original owner ....swore he had title so I said no problem took truck home and it's been a year of him " looking" for it and I've given up on hounding him....the truck runs and drives shifts good got 294k miles so u would say definitely needs some in depth maintenance but the original owner took very good care of it and I'm located in south jersey

Seems like a simple process. Checked on line and NJ has a form to get a duplicate title when no proof of ownership. In your case, I’m sure you have a bill of sale (with the VIN of the vehicle) from the previous “owner” when you gave him the $$. Right? So you would even have proof of ownership and could just file for a duplicate title and get it retitled based on your proof. And if for some reason you have no bill of sale, go the first route.
