Is anyone running 17x9s on their 4Runner without a lift? I have a 2 inch leveling kit on but I don’t want them to scrub.

2019 SR5 4wd no other suspension mods. I'm not sure what size tire to put on because I dont want it to be too big and scrub. What do you recommend?

I don’t plan on really lifting it, just leveling the front. Every after market wheel I’ve looked at that I actually like is 18x9 or 20x9 and I don’t want 20. I didn’t want it to look too wide if I go with a 9 inch width. All I plan on doing is leveling the front up and putting some all terrain tires on when I decide what wheels to get. It’s my daily driver and I drive almost 100 miles a day for work I just hate the stock SR5 wheels, I’m looking for black wheels. Ive found some Moto metal ones I like I’m just hesitant to buy because they are 18x9.

I ran 9" wide wheels with stock size tires for awhile. These had a -6 offset, and the tires would rub occasionally while turning and braking. It wasn't enough to really bother me.

I wouldn't recommend a 9" wide wheel if you end up going skinny with tires. Figure out what size tire you want to run, and look at the recommended wheel width range. Skinny tires do tend to clear better and offer some advantages, but also have some disadvantages as well. Definitely do some research on skinny vs wide tires before making a decision.

Also, I believe you can go up to a 275/70/17 without rubbing, depending on the offset.
