    I've finally obtained a 4RUNNER. It's a pre-owned / certified '22 SR5 Premium 4WD on stock size 265/70 R17 tires. I may get different tires for it, but will stay at the same tire size, without going super radical in off road tread design.

    My primary interest is I want to lift the front end by about an inch to eliminate that characteristic forward looking lean. I will not be loading down the vehicle very frequently or towing heavy trailer weights.

    I'm just wondering which route to take on this. I don't want to harm the front drive line components or ruin the alignment or harm the handling.

    I'm thinking of one of two methods- Using those so-called Corn Fed front lift spacers, or, going with something like Bilstein 5100 series adjustable lift front shocks.

    I am not going rugged off roading with this thing. I just want the look of lifting the front about an inch for appearance purposes, while not compromising the otherwise stock features of the front end driveline / suspension.

    The vehicle is presently at 28,9XX miles on the odometer.

    Anyone been down this road? Thanks in advance.

    I went the Cornfed spacer route due to the cost savings and lack of anyplace to off-road close to home. An unexpected bonus is that that it eliminated at least 50% of the nosedive when braking — less squishy feeling coming to a stop. The braking is so improved, I wish I would have done it sooner just for that reason alone. Mine looks to be just under perfectly level, so retaining just a touch of rake. Do it. Just remember to get an alignment afterwards.

    Did 1" Cornfed spacer only up front to my 2015 SR5P. I think this is how it should look from the factory. Once you do it you notice how much rake the 4Runner has direct from the factory.

    Adding more resources;

    I'd go spacer too.

    Note that a spacer for 1" of lift will actually be only .5" tall.
