I got spidertrax 1.25 spacers put on.. stock tires size running hercules terra AT..its rubbing at full wheel lock! normal for stock size? also took off the mud guards and still rubbing. besides going with out spacers if I keep the spacers on would a leveling kit correct the rub? thanks.

    Those are decent looking tires.

No, I don't think a lift will help. Adding the spacers effectively changed the offset of your wheels, which effects the arc that they turn n. They now turn in a wider arc, which is why they are rubbing.

(All this talk of the next gen lately, hopefully the ridiculously small tire clearance is addressed on the next gen)

thanks! good reviews on tires but did not want to break the bank as well. yeah I just assumed with stock sizing I would be able to avoid the rub. thanks for the info. it's just the noise that frightens me lol, when my music is off of course.. when reversing out my driveway and even parallel parking today. I honestly got/like the spacer just for the stance look. Should I be concerned with the rub on tires or any damages to the vehicle?

Yeah, I think they look really good too. The stock setup looks too far in the fenders. I wanted to do spacers on mine too, but read about possible rubbing, so I changed my mind. I think you need to figure out exactly where you're rubbing. If it's the mud flap, you could always remove it or possibly trim it. If it's rubbing in front of the tire, you may be able to adjust the fender liner where it meets the front bumper. Search "4Runner fender liner mod", there are plenty of writeups and youtube videos on that. It could alse be rubbing on the chassis as well, near or on the body mount towards the rear of the front wheel well. Other than rubbing paint off the frame, the most damage could be extra wear on your tires.

I would imagine over time, if it’s rubbing on the cab mount the tire can suffer damager and/or if it’s rubbing on the front bumper that’ll get damaged as well.
