    hi
I 've been experiencing some disappointing performance from my battery recently, although the PO told me it was pretty new.
So, put the multimeter on it after the engine was running for 10 mintutes at the most it seems to charge the battery at is 13.1v.

Surely that isn't enough? Most cars i've owned over the years charge it up to 14.4 or even 14.6

could this be the voltage regulator?

    thanks for sharing your experiences

voltage drop the power cable between the alternator and battery, and the case to ground and the battery negative to ground. If that all checks out go get a free battery and alternator test from a parts store.

The death of an alternator... makes me sad to hear it.. but, you don’t have to buy a whole new unit, just buy new copper brushes and install them in your old one. Cheap, easy and your battery will charge…
