I have a 02 limited and when I parked it it was fine. The next morning it didn't want to crank and the battery light had been on and when it finally cranked it was running real rough. Went to have the alternator tested and they said it was bad so I got a new one and it's made no difference. I don't know what's going on, any help would be much appreciated!

Did you get the battery tested?

I'm gonna go ahead and say that I really don't know how to reply, so I'm just doing the start a conversation thing. Sorry, I'm not great with technology.

Yeah, just use the box at the bottom of the page, don't reply to people directly.

You told me you have 12v at the battery. This doesn't mean anything really unless it is load tested. A bad battery can and usually still will have 12v. If Autozone load tested it, and it passed, it should be ok.

You also need to recheck the voltage across the battery while charging. It should be higher than 13.5v. You may have gotten a bad alternator (Autozone parts are not the best) or there is still something wrong in the wiring.

Thanks, I'm gonna go today and get it tested, I went and got it tested the other day and they said my battery was good but my alternator was bad so I put the new one on and still have the same problem. I'll let you know what they say when I find out, thanks again.
