I have an 87' 4runner 22re, everything I've found for adjusting the tps says to use certain feeler gauges in between the throttle and stop screw but I cannot find the specific measurement gauges anywhere. Is there a way to adjust it without them, or maybe a different method? I adjusted upon sound and feel of the motor to where it will retard the timing when I jump the terminals, but I still think it's not quite on as I have a little loss of power and gas mileage. I also adjusted the map sensor to try and get what little power I could out of the lil guy. Please any input and ideas would be very helpful. Thank you

I have that file downloaded, the issue is the sizes of the gauges they ask for I cannot find anywhere. I've looked at stores as well as tool trucks that come to my shop (snap on, cornwell etc.) It asks for .57mm and .85mm and the ones I have and have looked at are .55mm to .58mm but nothing in between

So I got gauges needed but when I'm setting the tps for the correct ohms, the meter numbers continuously move. They get slower moving after a second but still move.???? I dont understand how I'm supposed to set it when it doesnt stay on the correct ohm

Have you tried jumping T1 and E2 to verify the TPS is good?

Edit... Also did you check voltage to the sensor?
