    I'm looking at getting a RTT for my 5thGen and have narrowed it down to three brands Tepui,
    23 Zero, and CVT. Does anyone have any ownership experience with any of these? I am also looking at a 4 season tent. Appreciate any feedback from the forum.

    I have CVT. I’ve had another brand in the past. From what I’ve seen, CVT reigns supreme. Their customer service is amazing as well. The quality really shows in their product, the price is higher but definitely worth it.

    My CVT Mt Shasta summit series is for sale if you’re interested in saving a few dollars over buying new. Lots of new parts and stored indoors. Only selling because we may be going travel trailer in the future and I’m trying to clear out the garage.

    @4X4Runner also has a CVT.

    Ive got a Tepui Kukenam 3 person tent and love it. My wife and I get out about once a month for the weekend. It fits the two of us and a 25lb dog very comfortably. Only issue we found was getting it on the original 4r roof rack. It can be done but the stock racks offer very little room for the mount. I ended up buying a Thule system with the cheap square rails attaching them to the bottom of the tent rails. I bought four Thule universal attachments which fit perfectly onto the stock rails. Now we just unlock the four corners and remove the entire system off making it super easy! All in all, i wouldnt hesitate to buy another Tepui. PM for pics if needed. Either way youll enjoy your tent and the outdoors!!

    D98EEE27-51ED-497F-9B07-3EFC57C67E01.jpg I have a Tuff Stuff RTT. I believe all the material is the same quality as CVT/Tepui. Have had zero issues with my tent for over a year.

    I received the tent, annex, and shoe storage for way less then what I would’ve paid for a “name brand.”

    I went with CVT like @Daria mentioned, CVT’s customer service is pretty spot on.

    I’d beg to argue that the material is the same. I had a lesser known brand and the material was noticeably cheaper/thinner. All of my friends that had Tepui and smaller brands had ripped covers, missing zippers, snagged materials, etc all within the first year. Hell, my lesser known brand did NOT hold up like the CVT.

    You can get a cheaper tent but it won’t fare well in cold or wind. CVT is more of a four season tent.

    I looked at all those brands before deciding to go with a an iKamper Skycamp. The fit and finish, quality, design, and detail was on another level. High quality 4 person hardshell tent is hard to beat.

    I am usually by myself or with one other person. I was just sleeping in the vehicle but as my trips get longer so does the amount of things I need to carry. I also want a fridge. I wanted a tent that is fast to set up and take down, is durable and can take hits, and one that is going to last a very long time. So I decided to buy once, cry once...just put down a deposit on a Eezi-awn Blade tent. This tent will probably outlast my 4 if I do my part. Should be here by early September.
