a pop too high? Dealer has them in stock and they would look great with the lift. I guess i could sell my trail wheels to off set the cost. Thoughts?

    $250 for 4?
    That was 40th anniversary pricing!
    What color is your T4R?

Mine is gray metallic and wanted the grey wheels because i thought they gave a good contrast.

Here in CT the few that have them have the matte black. It's either these or the dark zero's and i don't have the 1400 + tax to spend on them. So here we are.

If you’re wheels are buried in the sand like his were, they are gonna get destroyed when your wheels are spinning.

Sand will mess up pretty much any clear or color powdercoat. It's an abrasive, so I think he would have scrubbed any spinning wheel regardless of what style it is.

Personally, I wouldn't pay $250 per wheel. If you want the Pro wheel look, in nearly any color, and a proper 8" width (while being lighter to boot); call Dustin at FN Wheels. He just got back online after a hiatus.

Curious if you are finding the gray wheels as difficult to clean as I’ve read with the black?

    Absolutely not.
I was told by the detail shop that put our Xpel wrap on that black wheels are the worst. Do mine get dirty, hell yeah.
Do they show scratches and nicks like black? Hell no.
I saw the owner of the detail shops powder coated HRE wheels on his Porsche 911 that hadn't even seen rain & they were complaining about the scratches and swirls.
They said black wheels are 10x worse than a black vehicle (which our T4R is). SMH
    Clear as mud?
As stated it sounds like the other person basically sandblasted their wheels trying to get out. (Crawl control).
My $0.02 & I love the look of my factory "pro" wheels.

I think they’re rather easy to keep clean. Brush or pressure washer and you’re done BB1C36D0-EDFA-4014-A586-F473B6618065.jpg

Seems high to me. I love the gray Pro wheels though. Not a fan of the black ones.

If you do sell your trail wheels, only expect to get somewhere around $300 - $400 for all 4 of them.

The Pro wheels will be narrower than your trail wheels, unless you go the FN replica route. The difference in width won't really matter in your situation since you're running 275's........it would be more of a preference thing.

$250 a wheel is WAY to high, I bought a full set of 4 grey TuRD Pro wheels from the dealer for like $640 total. As for cleaning them, it’s a truck, I don’t clean the wheels.

This is from Lewis Toyota in Topeka KS.
They did all my 40th anniversary sales.
    $215 anyday.
Was it $250 each or for the set. Big difference! Screenshot_20190720-110154_Chrome.jpg

I agree.. I also have the grey wheels, and they are easy to keep clean, and look better on my Nautical Blue than the black ones would. Even so, I see a lot of 4Runners with the black wheels anyway.

    Cheers,

    Sean

Thanks for your input and experience. I was wondering if it was more the color or the flat/matte finish that was causing people grief when cleaning.

    Is the part #
Just put that in a google search and see what pops up. $250 is pretty high for them.
I just showed my local dealership the lowest price for the rims from a genuine Toyota dealership I found on line and they matched the price.

Hey all, sorry I was camping this weekend. I actually misunderstood the rep. When i called back and asked about them being 250, he said no, 215, which seemed to be what they were going for on eBay. I found some cheaper but i needed these on short notice and they had them in stock.

Missed the point. I’m not going to spend $$ on shiny wheels when I know I’m gonna bugger them up. I’m fine with the OE wheels getting scratched, dinged and scuffed.
