My 1990 Toyota 4Runner (6 cylinder, 4x4) shakes and pulls to the left at different speeds. I believe the problem is in the passenger side front wheel/suspension. What I have done: Had all four wheels balanced, replaced Pitman arm, Idler, stabilizer bar, and new front shocks. The tires are fairly new (bought them April 2018). Could it be ball bearings, power steering fluid leak, or something else? Any suggestions.

Most likely a busted tie rod, possibly even a cv axle, but I’m betting tie rod.

i would say tie rod. mine shook a little between 65 and 70mph before i got new tires and tie rods and after the new tie rods were installed the shaking was gone.

Turn in can be enhanced with toe out and if your 4Runner is leaping about to the left or right on grooves in the road I would take a good look at the idler arm that is on the far side of the frame from the steering box. This is inherently the weak link in the IFS front end and the plastic bushings inside the cast housing in which the arm pivots can split and degrade to the point were the end of the arm will move up and down a lot with the tie rod and drag link being able to travel up and down with it. If the tie rod ends are also worn all of this adds to the effect as well. This will result in toe out when at speed in 2WD on the highway. As the 4Runner has some scrub radius with stock tires and wheels brake torque can add to the effect. So, grab the steering box side of the drag-link and tie rod and see how well it resists your trying to move the end of the pit-man arm up and down. Then go over to the idler arm and do the same thing and compare! Both the steering box and the idler arm are intended to only swing in an arch defined by the pivot axis. So any wiggling is a bad thing and idler arms are cheap at O'Reilly's.

I have 94 and had same problem. Went to tire store and he said all 4 of my tires had different air pressures. He put air in each one. It worked. I thought I was gonna have to spend a few bucks, but to my surprise, I spent nothing
