    I recently purchased my 4runner,
I cannot use key to open passenger door or put back glass down. I have one original key and a new copy. I've tried wiggling numerous times with no luck. When I bought it, it took the guy a few minutes and it went down. He said you can only put it up with the button inside. But you can't put it down with button. Any suggestions

This may not help but I always go to a well reviewed stereo shop for electrical gremlins … one that can install a remote start should be able to help.

edit: Welcome and Congrats on your 1994 4Runner !

Is your lock cylinder not moving? Or are you turning the key and nothing happens with the rear window? If it’s the later try pushing up on the rear wiper arm while you are trying to roll down the window. If it rolls down then you have a problem with the wiper parking sensor in the wiper motor that tells the window module that the wiper is out of the way so the window can roll down. There’s a way to bypass it though.

The lock cylinder is not moving. I've wiggled it over and over. When I bought it, it took the guy 45-60min to get it to go down. He gave me 2 keys. 1 is original, 2nd is a copy. I've tried both.
