2nd gen bumper advice

Hello Second-Genologists!

I'm new to the forum and will post pictures of my rig soon. After 18 years and blown head gasket, decided have decided to keep the beast and give her a refresh. She's coming along well with tires, wheels, sliders, etc.

Question for you handy folks is about bumpers - is it possible to use a 1990 4runner front bumper on a 1995. If I gather correctly the 1990 bumper looks like it has the turn signal within the bumper (which I liek better) - whereas the 1995 has the signals sandwiched between the valence and bumper...

Are the mounting points the same so just matter of getting an early bumper?

Fabricated a new rear bumper as I couldn't really find one I liked. I used a receiver and round tube from a hitch that I removed from my wife's Honda Odyssey. The outer tubing is mostly 1-1/2 inch square at the bottom and 1-1/4 tube at the top of the recessed areas along with some steel strip were needed. Some 1/2 X 1-1/2 rectangular is bridging what you see at the very back of the bumper. The license frame is re-positioned and the spare tire is raised up an inch with the hole in the middle sporting a nine element LED-lamp as an additional back up illumination solution. Hi-Lift mounted as shown on some 1/8" bent steel strip with it tapped to receive an M12 bolt into the strip with a flat washer, a spring washer and a wing nut securing the jack at each end. Note receivers for plugging the Hi-Lift into! Departure is greatly increased and I had to cut 7 inches from the straight section of the Bosal Cat-Back tail pipe in order to tuck the outlet. The rear OEM hanger at the tail pipe is also modified to bring the clamping up to just under the bumpers new height. Bumper paint is RUST-OLEUM Hammer-Rite Silver/Grey. Panels are bent from 5052-H32 aluminum sheet, Scotch-brightened and polished with mothers and pop-riveted to the square frame tubes with RTV to seal up the lap jointed surfaces between the steel painted tubes and the panels. Contemplating a bit of tread plate no the top surfaces to provide a step and if I bend it would hide the gap under the tail gate's bottom edge! Note tucked location for trailer light plug.

I am not interested in reproducing this design shown above.
But I do have some SolidWorks CAD I used to figure out the corner angles and lengths!

Thanks for the reply! I like your bumper. Looks like a nice combination of light weight and good protection. for the time being I went ahead and removed my rear bumper and sprayed it with satin black rustoleom I also replaced the two side bumper caps with black aftermarket ones.... so it is a good interim solution until I can decide on an alternate. I am tempted by the Marlin Bumper, But I think it would look better with some plating on the sides.
