I just used spray paint to paint the rear bumper valance black to match. Came out pretty good.

Close up, does it look pretty good over the top of the fenders? I've been wondering how that transition works, as it's a single body panel with molded fenders.

It looks like it came from the factory that way. They did an excellent job on it. 44846170_2199926753588018_87371320204061_e382c4e34ef4cb761f82b31bde87d00c3606986d.jpg

Bed liner might be in the running for the longest lasting as well

I am in the process of bedlining mine, took it off at lunch and sanded it, just put the second coat on. How is yours holding up?

Don’t get too attached to the looks of your front plastic bumper. Over the years and highway miles you’re gonna get lots of bugs and rock dings. Even the vinyl will suffer. I’ve been touching up mine with color matched paint. But it’s a never ending task. I’m about ready to spray on flat black paint or bedliner.

Plasti-dip here. So far 8 months and it's holding up well. Driving down an Arizona highway is a little like parking in front of a sandblaster. The rear valance has also held up well to my German Shepherd jumping in and out. :dancingbacon:clean TRD pic 3.jpg Plasti front 5.jpg

Did you remove the bumper or just tape it off when you did the Plasti-dip? I have 2 cans left from when I did my rims and was thinking of doing the front with the extra.

I cleaned the valances with some de-greaser first, and then taped it off. You don't have to be super precise with the tape, because if you use enough coats, the spray will pretty easily peel off the paint on the bumper. I would make sure you do at least 5-6 light coats, and maybe top off with their glossifier.

Spray on Rustoleum bedliner, removed, sanded, washed, dried, three coats. Pretty dry already but I’m going to let it dry overnight before I reinstall.

That looks great. And it makes a nice table decoration!
Any tips on how you removed the valance?
