Dark Gray one. it did not fit in my other 20114R Limited - the supplied harness does not work with 2010-2013 Limited with JBL. It only works with 2014-2019 All trims.

Super high gloss clear coat has been applied on top of the paint for ultra smooth factory finish.

The dark gray will match your light gray (SR5/Limited) or the dark gray /Black trim
TRD trims.

Comes with Apple Car play adapter, Extra camera for the front mount, Dash Cam, etc.

An alternative is to use something like tasker so when you approach your 4runner, hotspot comes on and the HU will autoconnect. Use the HU to stream music/podcasts.

Hello Niadh0, I’m looking into buying the T8 or T9 model. How is the sound quality and phone connection? If your using Apple CarPlay are you connecting via Bluetooth or did you purchase the Apple CarPlay adapter/dongle and use cable to phone? Sorry for all the questions, but I’ve been unable to find answers online. -THANKS!

 

DVS1..I ended up purchasing the T9 and installed this past weekend. I have struggled to get the wireless CarPlay to work consistently. However, I have used both Bluetooth to music from my phone as well as using my phone as a hotspot and using the unit to run android based apps (waze, Spotify, Sirius XM). Using my phone as a wireless hotspot has become my preferred method because I use Waze everywhere I drive. This has worked great and I am a big fan. I did purchase the usb CarPlay unit after the wireless CarPlay was being inconsistent but haven’t used it yet. I will likely set it up over the next day or so and can let you know.

I really hope the usb CarPlay device solves the the problem with the inconsistency. I really look forward to hearing if it fixed your problem. I’ll hold off on ordering the T9 from www.cartrimhome.com. Unless you have a better source?
I just got my 4R a week ago, so I didn’t know about this system until I moved from TacomaWorld over to 4runners and saw your listing. Dam that was a good deal!

 

The usb device has really improved the situation for me. I have it working pretty flawlessly at this point. Definitely worth it compared to messing with the wireless system.

 

I know this unit was sold but I also would like to know if the T9 works with 2011 SR5 non JBL system.
