Little brief history: I got my 4runner back in November 2018. Had around 165k miles and just about everything anyone could ever ask for in a 3rd gen. LBJ's replaced, Timing belt changed, records on all maintenance ever done, lift and tires. Let me tell you, the previous owner didn't want to say goodbye. I bought this with a daily driver and something that was off-road capable in mind, and the 3rd gen was well in my price range.
This was when I first got her:

Forgot to mention that I did a transmission drain(not flush) on 5/1/19 and filled with non other than the greatest at 173,215 miles. Thought i'd start logging everything I'd do on here as a reference. I'll be trying to do a drain every 10k miles to keep it clean and a flush with every oil/diffs/transfer case change. If y'all have had any experience with this please let me know.Screenshot_2019-05-10-11-21-17.jpg

Should of used Dexron II? Just drain two quarts out of the pan when you change the motor oil. I wouldn’t be surprised if you have trans problems down the road. Don’t over do it...

On the manual, it says it'll drain about 2 quarts, but it drains 4-5quarts. So what would be the recommended interval mileage to change it, if to do the whole flush with filter change, or just drains? I was going off of timmy the toolmans video and he had recommended that liquid as an alternative. As far as the radiator and upper coolant hoses, I haven't messed with it.

Your at the end of ur radiator and upper coolant hose’s life. It will leave you stranded or you will overheat the engine and fry your heads.
You actually drain 2.3 quarts out of the pan. Do it a few times as you change your oil and keep it fresh....I use Carquest dexron II.
    Just suggestions....

If you really want to change the screen and drop the pan. You will need the Toyota RTV sealant. There is no gasket for the pan...
    Good luck Nacho...

Got the chance to extend my diff breather(mind the mud). Fairly easy job, now I've got some peace of mind when i'm going through water(as far as the rear diff goes). Make sure you have your parking brake disengaged. I could've gone and made it my own, but I just got it off yotashop.com and ran it down the fill pipe...and as always, zipties are a gift from above.IMG_20190518_224204_790.jpg IMG_20190518_224204_794.jpg
