100% agree with everything you said.
Sorry, if I came off as sour.
40% off is a heck of a deal & was glad I could be apart of it!
I was only saying that about Toyota because you know a TRD T4R engineer & owner is probably on this very forum.
It would be nice to have the voice of someone in that position to "support" the brand (so to say).
It would take Toyota nothing & you know they have the money.
I told my local dealership to have a TRD day & build a course (there is 8 acres behind the property) & teach new owners how to use their new trucks. Bring in TRD people who can explain in detail about these & how they work.
You can read & watch videos till you are blue in the face. Until you feel a loss of traction, you (most people) have no clue what to do first.
I said make a morning and afternoon out of it & I bet people would pay. The GM of the dealership agreed and said he would bring it up.
    Long story over. Sorry.

Well, Skid Plate came in. I put it on and the rear bolts it came with did not fit. They seemed to be too big. I just used the old bolts from the original stock skid. Kind of a pain in the ass to install.
Worth it for 40% off though!

I guess the TRD skid has to be modified to work with the KDSS equipped 4R’s

Yeah, since mine is not KDSS, I am not sure why it was such a pain. The holes just weren't lined up properly in the rear. The stock bolts work for now. I think when I have more time I am going to go back and mess with it a bit more.

Not sure how you tightened them up but the one thing I learned about the skid plates is just start a few bolts and get things lined up before trying any other bolts and before tightening anything up.

That is exactly what I am going to do. I dropped it on my head trying that originally when I didn't tighten the front two all the way. Totally my fault. haha
So I decided to tighten the front two all the way before I moved to the back. I guarantee that's why they didn't line up.
