    Hey guys,

I'm looking for some recommendations for recovery equipment, and to learn about any bundles that are the most reasonably priced. I know it's not something too skimp on because, well, I don't want anything snapping and causing damage to vehicles or humans haha

I saw an ARB kit on Slee http://www.sleeoffroad.com/products/products_recovery_main.htm that seemed like the best price, but add $20-40 for 1-2 for winch line dampeners.

Wuold love to hear about some other options!

I just ordered this. I also plan to add a snatch strap and a few things I already have.

Traction mats are pretty standard for anyone serious about off-roading and I intend to get some of those, too.

There are name brand and generic versions of every type of product. It sucks to pay a lot for stuff you hope you never need to use. But, I hate the thought of something failing when you really need it.

I think sticking with the name brand products is the best bet. Good luck with your purchase!

I like the look of the ARB kits you linked. I might have to pick one up to add to my collection.

I ordered these things to add to the hi lift accessories and the other assorted gear I've accumulated.

The Maxsas run in the middle of the pack price-wise. They should be sufficient for my needs

For the D-Rings/shackles make sure they have the manufacture and WLL stamped on them. Chinese or American this tells you the are certified. If it doesn’t have any marking aside from 3/4” or 1” I’d steer clear.

I’m not sure if they’ve changed but years ago the smittybuilt d-rings were not stamped and quite a few people steered clear of them due to that. Don’t know what you got until it fails.
