Help with lift!

I've been reading and re-reading and re-re-reading countless threads about how to go about this but I'm still confused so I will just ask directly.

I'm running 265/75r16 tires and I want to lift it 2.5" or so to have more travel when off roading. I can't afford UCA's along with the lift so I don't want to go to the full 3". I'm 100% sure I'm going to do bilstein 5100s all around, but should I leave the stock coils on (i have no idea when/if they were ever replaced in the 183k miles on the truck) or should I put ome coils on, and which ones if i should do the ome coils?

I want to, but I'm really not sure how far down the road that would be. I think I should do coils that would be good without added weight, and then change them out for heavy duty coils when I get armor.

It's fine to get Bilstein 5100's, but if you're going to lift it anyways, don't buy stock coils or stock length aftermarket coils. Get coils that have the amount of lift you want. This place has a reputation for good quality coils and lots of happy customers:

EDIT: Thoughts on self install of coils and struts (similar lift maneuver as OP)? I have a 13 SR5. Sorry guys not looking to high jack thread, just want to add to the equation.

Yeah, this kit lifts the front 2.5" and 1" in the rear. You will be very close to level....... if anything your truck will still look like it has a very small amount of factory rake. Or you can just buy the adjustable front shocks and use your stock coils to get anywhere from 0" - 2.5" of lift in the front. If your goal is to go as high as 2.5" in the front, I would go with the entire kit posted above.

Yes, lifting procedure would be the same with a 2013. It's a fairly simple, straightforward process. It can get a bit tricky when trying to get the lower shock bolt in, but replacing shocks always seems that way.
