Best of luck! Let us know how it goes and post some before/after pics.

I think you'll be happy with the way the Eibach shocks ride. They do a really good job on and offroad.

    Hey Folks
is there a valid reason why one should use the full kit (including springs) instead of just shocks and stock springs?
just wondering why Eibach supply the full kit.

The Eibach springs that come with the Pro Truck kit give you 2.75" of lift and it's the coil adding the lift.

When you use your stock coils and the adjustable Eibach shocks together, you're able to move the bottom of the spring perch up to achieve lift.

You will get a better ride when the coil is providing the lift, but the adjustable shocks with a stock coil feel good as well (I run a stock coil and Eibach shocks set at 1.6" currently).

Some people don't want 2.75" of lift, so that's one reason not to get the Pro Truck Kit coils. But with the adjustable shocks and your stock coil, you can set it at 0", 0.8", 1.6" or 2.5" of lift........so you have more adjustability.

I eventually want to get away from the spring perch lift and do so with taller coils, but I don't want to go all the way to 2.75". For this reason, I plan to go with some Dobinson's coils in the future. I'll set my Eibach shocks to 0" and add a 1.5" or 1.75" lift coil and improve the ride even more!

    Thanks Guys.
    clearer and clearer:)

so, for 1.6" on the front, there is (almost) no point in rear mods?

and, is there any beneficial/mechanical reason why one would just use 1.5" spacers to achieve the same outcomes?

If you want a level truck, then no need to mod the rear. But if you like factory rake, then you would want to lift the rear.

Spacers are fine and will do the job of lifting the truck, but I'd never recommend them because they are the cheapest solution to lift and will not give you any on or offroad performance benefits other than tire clearance.

But you can improve ride quality with good coils and shocks and it's really not that expensive to do properly........unless you go the coilover route.

Resurrecting this thread due to wanting to pick up the front of my '19 TRD OR, and am very interested in this review of the Eibach shocks, thanks for that @Oey12.

One question I have is where would the KDSS figure in all this - help, hinder? Anyone with Eibachs with KDSS?

I’m also looking at this mod. Is everyone still happy with the outcome a few months later? I was thinking 1.6 upfront and .8 in the rear with stock springs. Any pics out there with this setup? I am ok with a small rake. It’s the ride & the nose dip I want to improve. Also, anyone tow with this mod? Does it squat as much? Thanks!

The rear shocks are not adjustable but you can get a 1/2 rear coil spacer which would look perfect with with 1.6 front lift. This is preference but I prefer the .8 setting with stock rear suspension. And the reason I say this is because the truck is almost level when I fill the rear storage area up with typical kid stuff (full tank of gas as well). I have airbags and even with those there is a decent amount of sag when my trailer is attached...8A793528-4195-4A03-8EC0-E96445C4652D.jpg
This photo is with about 80 pounds of gear in the rear deck and a light tongue weight. I usually put about 20 PSI in the bags.

And I also forgot to add that the ride is still great after 15k. I think Eibach did a awesome job matching the valving to stock coil springs. The nose diving and body roll has been greatly reduced.

Still love my Eibach front shocks. I'm probably close to 18,000 miles with them and enjoy the ride every day.

Mine are set at 1.6" in front with stock rear, but I don't carry much weight in the back so I don't get any sagging.

Yes. When measuring center of hub to bottom of fender, my truck still sits 1/4" higher in the rear on this setting. I'm also running 285/70/17 on Offroad wheels. Caster set at 4* and I've done the fender liner mod. No rubbing at any time.

I have been going back and forth between these and 5100’s. I’m very new to lifts and such and since a lot of you have posted saying they are still holding up I have a question- I’m wanting a 2’ - 2’5’ lift. Eventually I want to armor the back but for now the only thing I’ll do it throw a RTT on our SR5 (stock) I hear a lot about diff drops, UCA’s and to do or not to do both. What does everyone recommend?

No diff drop or UCA's needed until "over three inch of lift". If you can hold out, eibach is about to release a fully adjustable rear set up that will help with all the added weight your planning. Just my .02, but there is a huge discussion on the "other site" with an Eibach rep answering questions.

Bilstein makes very good shocks. But if you had the opportunity to ride in two exact trucks, one with Eibach’s and one with Bilstein’s, the decision would NOT make you go back and forth. I had a difficult time initially because Bilstein’s are tried and true. The ride quality has been excellent especially because I mostly haul my family. My wife never liked any truck I put Bilstein’s in which sometimes created issues...no issues with my current setup.

Eibach PRO fronts with JBA UCA's. OME 8295 springs in the rear with Eibach PRO shocks. DuroBumps front and rear.

EDIT: forgot to add I have trim packers on the drivers side both front and rear. Wheelers Off Road had everything I needed and actually suggested the OME rear springs which have worked out great for me and all the weight I carry.

    bridgestone revo 3 5100's @2.5/1.5. Stock springs & rear daystar 1.5" spacers
For informational purposes only I have 5100's all around. Fronts set at 2.5" with stock coils and rears with a 1.5" daystar spacer.

Even though I read everywhere that you need at least 2.5 degrees of castor up front I only got 2 on each side. Despite that fact Toyota aligned my 4 runner and it drives totally fine.

I do have to say that adding rear shocks (eibach or 5100's) it handles the loads way better. I actually see no reason to replace the coils. Funny thing is that after i installed the rear spacer it seemed to improve even more.

I feel that folks will get similar results with the eibach shocks.

Did you get longer rear shocks when you added the 1.5" rear spacers?

Has anyone used the Eibach Pro adjustable shocks with OE springs in the front with the Eibach Pro shocks & Pro springs in the rear?

My goal is to get a 1.6” lift up front & 1” lift in the rear. I don’t mind a little rake.
