I am set to have the Toytec 3" Bilstein lift (2.5" Eibach with .5" spacer and 2" Bilstein rear lift springs) installed next week and I am getting cold feet having really only seen one picture of a similar set up on the forums. That being said, I do like the way it looks, was just wondering if any of you run a similar set and could post or point me in the direction of posts with similar set ups. Here is my current set up:

    build:
    2018 SR5 premium, 2wd
    bilstein 5100's all around
    1.75 in front/ stock springs
    3/4" cornfed rear spring spacer
    265/70/17 Falken Wildpeak AT3W's

Should have abided by the buy once, cry once methodology but this is my first time modding a 4runner.

Thinking of wheel spacers to create the illusion that the wheels are bigger by pushing them further out. Most folks don’t specify if they are running them are not. Hard to tell if it helps any. Same goes for after market UCA’s

If I were you, I'd save up and get some rims with some nice negative backspacing to push the wheels out. In the long run, it will be better for your vehicle. I just purchased some Ray10 Deep Dishes from Stealth Custom Series and holy shit they look beautifully space out. Fits nicely flush with the body of the car. https://www.stealthcustomseries.com/products/ray10 They are the same size rims as the stock rims so you wouldn't be forced to buy new tires as well.

That's an option I considered, I just hadn't really seen many before/after pics of how the rim's help change the look stance. I'd much rather run new rims as opposed to wheel spacers if I could get the desired effect.

Let me take a picture when I head home for lunch. I am so happy with the outcome. Every time I walk out to my car I get giddy over the new stance.

Keep in mind these are stock 265 tires, so with knobby tires theyll look even better. It's a great investment. I can try and take some better pictures if you'd like

I can see the performance aspects of a wider stance but I am not a fan of the tire outside of the fender well look. A lot of full size trucks around here with crazy offset and tires sticking way out of the fender. Ugly.

Definitely not a fan of tires outside the fender wells.

I totally agree with the trucks that have absurd offset, it makes them look like toys. The offset I have compliments the body shape of the 4runner, and adds some nice accent. It also makes the tires look beefier. Some people like to be plain, I don't blame them.

    Thanks for the compliments boys.

thanks for posting. After market rims are definitely the way to go for that look. Just enough sticking out from the profile.

Just as a comparison, this is mine with 285/70/17 with the Pro wheels.

The more expensive option, but man am I happy with how it looks, and spacers can sometimes cause issues down the line.

Everyone has their own likes and dislikes (opinion). With that said, I like all of the options that I have seen on this post. I personally love the bigger wheels/tires look on the T4R. I’m in the process of upgrading my wheel/tire setup, as well. I’ll be going with the look that has the tires stick out beyond the fender well.

    I love T4Rs!!

    After pics:

Originally with the .5" spacer on the alignment rack. Decided not to keep the spacer as it resulted in some negative rake and couldn't be aligned without new UCA's.

After the .5" spacer came off. measurements - front 23.5", back 24"

looks good, no reverse rake, for dimension comparison, I'm at 22.25 in the front of mine with the TRD Pro kit, 2wd though.
