Victory 4x4 New Product Prototyping

Hey everyone, I’m Cam from Victory 4x4! We are a manufacturer located in Michigan. We operate out of 32,000sqft. We do all of our cutting, bending, welding, powder coating in house. Some of you might know our sister company, JcrOffroad, which has made Jeep armor for almost 16 years.

I bought a 2017 Magnetic Gray SR5 4Runner this past summer and love it. So to start here is the current before and after.

I will be posting new products here as well as prototypes.

What would you like to see produced for the 4Runner?

 

Victory 4x4 5th Gen Strike Sliders
Our tube sliders for the Toyota 4runner are designed to be used as a step as well as protect your rig. They are proudly made in the USA are available in a 2 stage satin textured black powder coat over durable zinc primer finish, or in bare metal.

• Main structure built from 2x3x3/16" box tubing.
• 1 3/4" round outer tubing. Tube gussets useable for safe step entry.
• Bolt-on installation.
• Drilling two holes on the passenger side required for offroad use.

Someone had a question about how they are mounted so here's some more info on that.

They are frame mounted and have 3/4" gap between the slider and the pinch weld to allow for some flex on a full weight drop.

If you are only using them as a step, the bottom mounting holes will not need to be drilled, but they are necessary for offroad use as they prevent the slider from being pushed up into the body.

 

That's interesting, I don't think I've seen bolt on 4Runner sliders that wrap under the frame like that. What made you decide to do it that way?

Wrapping under the frame is important in a strong rock slider. Mounting to the bottom counters the force of an upward hit on the outside of the slider.

A great option for those that don't want to go for a full rack yet! I ran a 2 person RTT using three crossbars but how many you need will depend on the gear you want to carry.

 

Looks awesome! Can’t wait for the 4th gen stuff!

 

Really love the look/concept of these products. Time to start saving my spare change!

 

Full-size, no-drill rack and rear bumper are on the way!

 

I'll post prototyping photos here as soon as I have them! We haven't started on them yet, but it will be soon. Sounds like the roof rack on the Taco will come first, but the engineers are moving quick.

 

Can you make the engineers work quicker by using simple blackmail and intimidation tactics?

It would be more convenient to my mod schedule.

I really like the looks of your Tacoma bumpers. Hope you'll think about one for the 4th gens.

I will be watching. I just bought one of the rear Molle window set ups and will install it this weekend. In my honest opinion, and I understand why you do it, but the fact you put large cut outs of your logo on the products you sell may make someone say that’s really not their style or look.

 

The one on their lo-pro style bumper that blocks a part of the light bar cutout would make me not get that one. I don't mind some branding cutout somewhere, just not there.

 

I kind of agree with you on that one, i don’t mind the one on the front skid plate though.

 

Skid one is totally fine, lots of companies put one there. Just don't care for blocking the light bar with one.

 

We are not the first company to put design elements in the light bar opening. Some do logos, others to angled lines, etc. A 20” light bar averages 8400 lumens. We are blocking no more 3% of the light bar. We are still talking about an insane amount of light with or without the logo.

 

That's fine it's your bumper you do what you want. Just saying I personally don't care for that design and likely wouldn't purchase it.

 

That’s the beauty of having choices. We’ll never be the solution for everyone and we are aware of that.

 

Yep. And it's always a good day when there's another fabricator making stuff for our trucks. I'm still definitely interested in seeing what you'll make for the 4th gen if you decide to like you've mentioned.
