My 99 4runner just hit 200,000 miles and it has a slight sputter when you are accelerating currently. I am using some fuel cleaner to see if something is going on in the fuel lines and I feel like it has got better, but its still happening. Thoughts from anyone? Spark plugs or fuel filter issue???

Hard to say over the internet. Fuel, spark plug, coil pack, bad compression, could be a lot of things. If there's no codes and no clues in the way it idles, maybe pull the spark plugs and see what they tell you. While they're all out, do a compression test.. If one or two are different than the others, that can be a sign. If they're all good and the compression numbers check out, that makes a fuel delivery issue more likely, maybe?

Replace your spark plugs, wires and PCV with oem and give the TB a good cleaning.

My Truck had the same spudder/hesitition. The wires were the last thing I swapped out and low and behold the wires were the culprit.

Every now n again I need to clean my MAF sensor, especially when I return from Moab. I realize this is a late reply but it could be that simple.

Did you ever figure out the problem? I am having the same issue in my 2008 Sport Edition. I have tried fuel cleaner, replaced spark plugs, replaced air filter, cleaned the MAF sensor and throttle body. It seems after each repair the hesitation stopped for a little while but keeps coming back. Please help.. Thanks
