Can someone whose done this before tell me which led lights are the best and where to purchase from?

Does the dust cover need to be changed or do I retain the factory one?

    Thx

look up DDM tuning i use their HID 5k in low beams ,LED 3k in fog and DRL and HIGH beam 55w. i absolutely love my lights
they have the option of 55w or 35w for your lights
After you install make sure you lower or adjust your low beams just a tad

Did ddm also for lows. Dig em Doin the dust cap, and mounting the ballasts took all of about 17 mins to be completely done. With adjusting them down some turns. Never get flashed and its night and day over the OEM low beam turds

DDM stuff is mostly all of the same generic stuff you see on ebay with a fancy box or sticker.

I have installed this set in a bunch of 4Runners. You need H11b bulbs and I recommend 5000k for the color temp.

Ill put these up against any of the big names out there. The only other thing you need is a 1” paddle bit to drill a hole through the dust cover on the back of the light housings.

Has anyone done the 6 High Mod? Did it when I had a GMC Sierra wasn’t sure if it was able to be done on the 4 runners.

LEDs for low beams are really starting to come into their own. They're still not as bright as HIDs, but they are a WHOLE lot more robust because they are solid state. No jiggling light beams when driving over bumps, or ballasts that quit working for no reason (talk to ten people with HIDs and half of them will have burnt a ballast or two, regardless of brand).

    Here's what I got:

You can get the modulator other places as well. It's no big secret, just saying.

This is what I have for the high and low beam. I don’t use the DRL’s so the fact they don’t dim isn’t a problem for me. I did the OEM fog light swap instead of just a bulb replacement. So far I haven’t had any issues

Welp, the ones you linked, were the same price I paid for mine And, I'm sure they will last,.not worried about it,.... and hell, if they dont, that life long warranty will help.

Edit- and a hole saw, I prefer .. over a paddle bit But, hey,.. again .. to each their own

    Cool.

Id like to see output pics comparing both. My guess is the DDM ballasts don’t put out as much power but to each there own, at least you got some improvement.

Installed the supernova perfect fit last night. No issue with install. About the same brightness of the high beam, but only throw about 50 meters down the road. Very distinct cut off line and light up two lanes of traffic and the shoulder. I need to replace the driving lights as the color is way yellow by comparison.

Will give it a try when I can (I'll be installing the Eibach lift this weekend).
