There has to be some easy way to mount things to a molle panel without having to somehow squeeze your hands behind or fingers throw the holes. For example, I need to attach a bag that has zippers which open the bag forward. I've got all of my tire repair stuff and a few misc things in it. It's got all kinds of molle strap points. Trying to get velcro straps working send me screaming. I was thinking maybe a little strap with hooks on both ends that could be easily cinched and released when needed. Anything out there I'm missing?

I have these molle bags mounted to my panels. I mounted them with velcro straps before I mounted the panel to the vehicle. It made it a lot easier to maneuver.

I regret my molle holes are much smaller and I have slowly added stuff. I wonder if may get a bit of flex if I unscrew the 2 or 3 lower screws to solve all of my problems.i still wish someone made a quick release strappy thing.

For the past few months I've been looking for a hard plastic case with mounting clips. Something large enough to hold all the stuff I have in the molle bags, but with clips on the back of it, so I can easily mount/dismount it.

I have a few ideas on making one. If I ever do follow through, I'll make a long write up on it.

Search for molle clips and/or malice clips for ideas.

You're not really missing anything OP. Molle takes a little time to setup. Some of the cheap molle bags make it even more difficult since they are very generic and sometimes the molle straps aren't quite sized right for these panels.

I also use those Molle bags that Borracho posted about. Medical is also mounted with molle that quick detaches with velcro.

Everything lightweight can be held in place with velcro or bungees.
As a general rule if I use it a lot I just use small bungees. If it's something I store but don't use often I use velcro straps. Still easy to access but doesn't move around much.

I wouldn't trust either of these lightweight options to mount heavy objects to the side panels. But things like soft shackles and a paper towel roll they work great for. And I'm not too worried about getting smacked by a roll of paper towels in an accident.

I set mine up so that I can easily slip my hands behind the Molle Panels, going up from the bottom and secure all of my 'accessories' with homemade clips after struggling with generic soft pouches that, as 1SilverRunner said, just aren't a good fit for the panel cutout pattern.

Small Bungees are your friend, Amazon has a bunch of mounting options...search using keywords: "molle panel mounts"

The issue with these so-called molle panels is that the grid spacing doesn’t conform to the molle/pals standard.

I may just have to go
Yeah, I've seen all of those molle mounts online. That's not exactly what I am looking for. I have a handful of soft items that need a degree of permanence however I don't want to stress out everytime I want to move things around. Trying to get my hand behind those Cali Raised side panels is tough. I got some small cams and webbing on order that may solve this. I rethought my approach and think I might have a new approach. I'll also get some mini bungees as well. They'll get the job done.

There’s a missing piece in this puzzle. The molle/pals system is not meant to be quickly detached and re-attached. And I think most folks who attach soft bags to their panels want those bags to be easily removable. What’s needed is a small shelf that attaches to the panel. Then the bag is set on the shelf and secured to the panel with bungee or webbing and Fastex or whatever. The shelf should be hinged so that when not in use it can swing up and be secured flat to the panel. The shelf would also support the bags so that they are not sagging under their own weight, which is something that has always offended my delicate sensibilities.

Another less elegant solution is to have a larger bag that gets more ore less permanently attached to the grid panel, and then smaller bags and pouches are put inside.
