Does a 285/70/17 fit underneath for a spare? If so does it go up there with any issues?

    Thank you so much

It will fit. I am running falken AT3W in 285/70/17 size and the spare fits under the rig without any modifications.

My 285 fits under mine. I heard that with KDSS models, a 285 might rub the track bar. Maybe someone here has real-time experience with this?

My Toyos on a limited do.. the only thing I have to do is not just blindly crank up the pully but instead kinda manually place it laterally while lifting it up.. otherwise.. seems fine. What would be interesting however is that not all 285s are the same.. I'm guessing that a M/T or more squared off profile may be more sporty.. but I have not direct experience in that dept.

I have KDSS, and a 285 spare underneath. It's definitely tight! But, I haven't had any issues.

appreciate everyone! It is a Toyo AT3 and not brand new but still in good enough condition to be a spare

I had a problem on a 4th Gen with oversized tire spare. The spare fit but the trailer hitch ball would not go in the receiver far enough to get the pin in. Had to take about a 1/4 inch off it.

Had both LT255/80/17and LT285/70/17 tires under with no issues...this is with KDSS also. No rubbing either

255/80/17 fits, i try to push it as far away from KDSS piston as possible just in case

Yup I pushed it towards the hitch as far as I can get it. In washboard roads it held in place with no adjustments needed.

Forgot to mention, I deflate to 15 psi, gives me more room to play with.
