Black Tail Light Upgrade for 10-19 5th gen, Anyone on here get em

Hey guys, I been posting a bit about these and no one really has any feedback on these.

Has anyone gotten these installed onto their 10-19 models ? My girl has a 12 so I think this is perfect but I want to see if anyone has jumped on em?

Depot and TYC are the 2 common companies that make oem looking replacement light housings. Quality is hit or miss, much less consistent and controlled the actual OEM. Personally I but brand new 2014-2019 Toyota housings on my 2011.

 

Kustom54Lighting is probably the only company I would use for aftermarket tail lights. They're expensive but completely customizable.

 

Yeah I just took a look at that. Those are Retrofitters, Im def staying away from that cuz
1) Ish gets super expensive
2) Most times, they want you to send em your OEMs OR they use low quality after markets (so they can capitalize on their up charge)
3) Takes forever

I heard of em before and kinda thought about it for the headlight too but eh. I saw good things about DEPO also TYC but what I have seen is

TYC lights are the same as the 14s but the DEPO Ones are Blacked out so I kinda want that.

Ok those look nice. I'd say jump on em if the price is right. Think I prefer those over Kustom54..

 

For what it’s worth I’d use Depo before TYC

 

Looked at these awhile ago, but they didn't have them in stock. Still waiting for the email from them to tell me they are.

 

I messaged them yesterrday said they are new which I guess is why I havent heard from anyone in terms of reviews. they said they are available and gave me a coupon code blk4run

 

I would like to know as well. Would be interested if I knew they were reliable and kept moisture out.

 

I think it should be good, I see they are including gaskets in there too

Just installed about a week ago and they are awsome havent had any issues and the look is alot better!

 

Can you take/post some good pics, that show how they look in the daylight, from different angles? Thanks!

Does it take away the chrome look from the top outer side. Getting a nightshade and I don't like the chrome on the taillight.

Yes plug and play installed under 20 min. And yes noncrom all black housing. And shipping is pretty fast but I pick up personally not to far from were I live.

 

I will be getting a set as well.

Followed my wife with her driving 4 Runner today after putting bed liner on rear valance and roof rails I have to get rid of those tail lights.

 

Ha is it standing out now that you have seen these? like, once you see it, you cant un see it ? lol

No it’s stood out like the rails and ugly valances I just noticed again today and it’s the last part of that.

Had signs put on my back windows and after that the lights didn’t standout as bad. At a distance they look like a blob of clear plastic.

 

So your nightshade had the chrome taillights?

 

Yes Think the stock lights look awful. The chrome looks silly.

 

So what is night on the Nightshade?
