Used it myself in the Runner and the GFs CX-5. Works well and is highly rated.

Using the cheapest aftermarket lubricant really does not prolong the life of the engine. same with for aftermarket bearings, ball joints and other stuff that may look exactly the same, but really not. unless you don't care ...

Always makes me think about the Tally driving Yotas all over the sand box, mainly LCs & Hilux 4drs, up modded to Tacticals , we know they are not following manufacturer, maintenance procedures, and timelines.. they buy Yotas for a reason… :mudding:

FWIW- at our local Costcos, they have the 2pk of 5qt jugs (10qts total) on sale for $29.99, so this 4pk is a better deal. Also, our local Costco did not have 0W-20 in stock. We've run into this before where we had to go to another Costco to find it.

On line Costco also has a combo pack w/2 0w20s and 2 5w30s (for my wife's car) and really works out well for us.
Plus, it brings itself to my front door.

@Pentangler - Thank you! That price is around the early Biden Administration rates (pandemic-era early Biden was at $23.99/10qts and would go on sale for $19.99.)

A few days ago, I did a boroscope on two RAV4s that I have been using the Kirkland oil in. Both were very clean, cleaner than when I bought them. Still, I decided to use some Valvoline Restore and Protect for one of the cars as it has 122k miles and was bought used at 98k. It has lost a little bit on its MPG, everything else is clean, including the PCV. My only guess is that it is the low tension piston rings have been gunked up.

Kirkland (Warren Distribution) oil has tested very favorably against a lot of good competition. There was, I believe, a Project Farm video where they compared OEM oils. The Toyota/Mobil oil was the lowest-scored.

Still, Toyota is fine oil as long as it's changed at a proper rate. For the rest of the world, that's about 6,500 km. In America, those distances are extremely stretched out.

Thanks for posting... just stocked up. :spending:

Kirkland Synthetic is the same as SuperTech synthetic, which is highly regarded over on bobistheoilguy, which also has a great video where some guy in a lab environment tested the oil extensively.
Here's that thread, and post #10 has the video. A little long, but very good info.
