Hatch was sagging but when I finally pulled my Gobi Struts from their original packaging they were pretty beat up and rusted. So I threw them in the recycling. You can clearly see they sent me not only used gear, but very beat up used gear. Kinda ticked me off.

Ordered Lift support PM3489-PR. They work REALLY well with the weight of the Gobi Ladder, added sound deadening, after market speakers and speaker brackets.

Bummer man, I’ve had my share of parts delivered in similar condition, it’s no wonder I’m known to drive quite a ways to work with a vendor in-person.

I dont follow. I was saying theres more weight on the hatch and the stock struts actually could work on hot summer days. But not at all in the winter.

Haha nah I was being sarcastic that you added to the already awesome sound system you have setup
I’m interested in upgrading mine, sloooow at first n was gonna check out your thread to see how yours has progressed

    Side note:
My gobi struts have never really been all that great either, another thing to fix come to think of it

Sorry im slow on the uptake :)

Sound system is all there now. I just need to take it somewhere to get it tuned. At the moment im running a Dasaita HU because it just fits and looks nicer. Other than the looks its just OK at best.

The uncertainty on HU's has delayed getting the system tuned.

I just rudimentarily have all the speakers and sub working within the amp software. Doesn't sound as nearly as good as the kenwood HU I had in prior (also no tune).

Could have done this in a much less expensive fashion but any way you wanna do it I highly recommend a sound upgrade. Its really nice have quality sound. I enjoy driving the 4runner even more now.
