The Ignore function is pretty helpful guys, I recommend it!

Edit: And you can still opt to view ignored posts/people in-thread when curiosity gets the best of you.

if i did that, my list would be full :)

i just scroll past most of the posts, ive made up my mind and already put a deposit down on a 25 4R Plat anyway regardless of what people post on here. people have opinions, they can have them and vent on here. i just ignore them if the post is not engaging for me.

    but meh :)

getting heritage blue. the wife hates silver which is my preferred color (it actually keeps her from driving my 4R currently). but she may like my HB 4R so much she may take it away from me during the winter so she can park in the garage and make me take the 23 tundra that sits outside 24/7/365 since it doesnt fit in the garage. pita during winter to clean snow and let it warm up

The black fender flares look ridiculous.

I couldn't possibly agree more. If I was ever going to buy a 6th gen it would have to be black to avoid that garish contrast with the flares. They look like they came right out of the Autozone clearance bin. I happen to really like Mudbath but with the black flares it just completely ruins it.

Some of the trims have body colored fender flares.

Only the TRD sport and limited.

So to not have cartoonish Subaru style flares one has to buy the street oriented trims.

Is the hood scoop on the pro actually functional? Was reading the Motor Trend article from today and it says “On the outside the best ways to figure out you’re looking at a TRD Pro are the “functional” hood scoop and the big “TRD Pro” that’s stamped into the rear tailgate.” It also calls the Raptor a Braptor in the title so…

    Braptor = Bronco Raptor

As opposed to the F-150 Raptor (just called Raptor), and the Ranger Raptor. I don't know the nickname for the Ranger version, but I'm sure there's a fun one.

I saw a heritage blue 6th gen today. It looked OK. The one thing that stood out is the hood looks really long. Not sure if it actually is longer than the 5th gen or just looks that way.

It's almost hard to believe it and the LC250 have basically identical underpins.

Looks cool! I think I prefer the original front end on that though, “fat lip” homage and all!

    .
The only place that I have seen really cool and functional hood scoops on Toyotas is in S.E. Asia.

I live part time there and am there now and you see more of them in Thailand than anywhere else. Went to a Toyota dealer and the dealers are really big and they had 24 vehicles on the floor and all but 2 were trucks, and many diesels too.

But some other Toyota models have functional hood scoops in SEAsia too. In Ho Chi Minh City (old Saigon) now and saw them here too, but not as many as Thailand.

What kills me about the new 4Runner is the infotainment screen. A lot of manufacturers are doing this. It looks like they stuck a tablet on top at the last minute and said, "SHIP IT!" I love my 2016 CX-5 and 2024 4Runner for having it integrated into the dash.
