Anyone ever switched out the front USB A port we use for CarPlay to a USB C and it still work?

I’m assuming if it was possible Toyota would’ve done it since the rears are C but am still curious.

Too poor to buy anything now
Simple cables do it so it shouldn't be a problem.

I know it’s not going to be as clean as an actual install but I’m reasonably certain you could leave a USB-A/C adapter plugged in semi-permanently.

How many watts would that bring though if you switched to USB C? Since fast charging phones seems to be above 20 watts depending on what device you have.

Such an operation won’t change how much power is provided by the radio/port in this case.
