Kings, Crestone Rack, Baja S8, Baja Fogs, Baja XL80s, Baja mini cubes, SPOD, ARB compressor, RCI full skids, ROAM box and stuff. ST Pros. Shrockworks sliders... GOAT armour

I bet the LUX is lower than Halogen. At 6000 kelvin you are basically D65+ which moves from Halogen yellowish colour to white-blue tone. This is deceptive. Brighter doesnt mean necessarily whiter. I wish you luck on the lights hope you like them. I did the whole LED thing years ago.. for headlights not a fan but for other stuff they can be great alternatives.

Light meters vary in price. But if you want to test get one that does LUX over LUMEN or can do both. K is nice but spectral curve is largely irrelevant for this application if your desired Kelvin is achieved. This is my meter.. I can measure stock Halogens later if anybody is interested. Measurements need to be same distance/angle etc for meaningful comparisons.

understood. The lasfit bulbs (H11 & 9005) in my wifes Mazda cx5 are leaps and bound better that the brightest halogens i could find. I notices an immediate improvement in color, brightness and down road projection. So did the wife and thats really all that matters. Last night she came back from a school play with my son and commented how good the low beams are and said “when i put the high beams on,,,, holy shit does it light up the road left/right and straight ahead!” Works for me…

Thanks, KMeeg. That link to fog replacements didn't work but I found them through their store on Amazon. I'll check them out.

Forgot about that point. Yeah, that would be a problem. LED like Hikari Titanova would be too bright and could get in trouble.
If H9 halogens are not enough I wonder how HID 35W closer to halogen color temperature would be on reflectors? (3000K seems too yellow, 4000K might be closer). Still not sure if they be too bright.

Sure. I am looking at these too. Not sure if my 2011 Limited will be as much as a pain to install though.

I drive at night by highway too often where deer can be found grazing along the highway so will only go with 6000K now. I know that's a little dimmer than using a lower kelvin bulb but prefer the bright white. My options are a retrofit or upgrade the whole headlight assembly. In the 99 Grand Cherokee, I had someone build a set using Morimoto D2S HID for low beam so think I'll go that route but will go with M LED instead.

Why do all that wiring when the Lasfit LEDs are plug and play, no crazy harness, designed for projector and reflector style housings. No hassle 45 day return and money back if not satisfied.

I like my HIDs but I upgraded my fog light bulbs to these and I really like them. Affordable too at $17.

Welcome from another Army vet—also in NC. Bought my 2015 Limited new and it had all the options, including the cargo tray. Think you’ll find it very useful moving heavy objects in and out of the back. Recommend a liner.
