I'm looking at a 2020 Toyota 4runner trd pro it has 164,000kms no accidents for
45 thousand. Looks good and drives good. Or 2020 4runner nightshade with 92,000kms no accidents clean and drives excellent for 45 thousands.
I don't know which way to go?

That’s a lot of miles in 5 years - go with the limited imo

If you’re going to go off-road often go with the Pro. If not go with the limited. Too much work needs to be done to make the limited as capable as the Pro off-road.

Typically I'd avoid the limited but if you're mainly on pavement it will still be capable for occasional trails. (XREAS problems aside)

If you intend to off road, having the rear locker will be worth the price difference imo. I'd hold out for a TRD Off Road or a Pro but that's specifically to avoid the hassle of XREAS, better approach and departure angles, and a rear locker. None of which matter if you don't intend to hit the trails much.

So the choice is yours to make!

I sent pictures. They both look great It's just the kms and in the future which one will give me a better resale value in 3 to 5 years from now.

Which ever is the least rusty is really what it boils down too. We need to see the rust on both to make a clear choice

They both have surface rust underneath. I should of taken pictures when I was there but I wasn't thinking at the time.

Both will likely need shocks within your span or ownership. OEM shocks will be expensive for both (think $5k), but cheaper aftermarket ones are available.

The Pro is overpriced for its mileage because it's a Pro. In 5 years it'll have quarter-million kms and be worth maybe $25k, while the Limited may be worth $30k. A lot of unknowns with future resale value as we may be in a severe recession at that time with severe inflation.

(My hood deflector experienced hyperinflation after I ordered it, going from $95 to $150 in 8 days. That is 7% inflation per day, on par with inter-war Germany and early '90s Russia.)

Thanks that is a good advice. But I won't be driving it as putting in many kms I'm averaging about 10 to 13 thousands kms a year. I love the Pro but the kms is what's holding me back.

Not sure if I'd worry too much about the mileage. Look into the service history and check for rust. If both check out these things will last 500,000km no problem.

*Yes I converted from freedom units for you... 300,000 miles = 482,803km

PS black will be a bitch to keep clean and looking scratch free. White tends to hide small scratches pretty well...

If it just surface rust and I start rustproofing now it will stop from getting worse.

Kolter45 thank you so much. You are my Angel in the sky. The 2020 Toyota TRD Pro the carfax says no accidents, no issues. I looked up what you sent me it says there's 25 problems and the black 4runner it say 0 problems. How these people cheat the carfax.
    Unbelievable with theses Bananas.

Welcome. these were gotten rid of for a reason with that high of odometer ticks. The limited may be the better choice, just to not pay for the pro badge and problems you found.
