All is well. I think I read somewhere in the manual that the system turns off if the sensors get too much debris on them.

I've had mine shut off after they get covered in dirt, mud, or even enough dead bugs xD
    All good!

Took off the 35x11.50’s and swapped them for some 295/55r20 . I had to add a 1 inch wheel spacer due to the width but it turned out nice.IMG_4324.jpg IMG_4316.jpg IMG_4312.jpg

Could just be a southern thing but I love the stock wheel/mud tire look. After these Coopers wear out I might go back to a Trail Grappler or Toyo M/T. Clean rig!

Thanks. I ran many different aftermarket wheels back when I was younger, but I’m digging the OEM wheels these days. I had a set of Mickey Thompson’s (34.7x11.5) I purchased used. They looked great but they had a vibration from a flat spot I couldn’t balance out. I’m guessing the previous owner didn’t rotate them properly.

Not a m/t but I ran a 285/75r18 with stocks on my crewmax. Came out to a 34.8x11.3IMG_1016.jpg

Can’t beat that look imo. Here’s my old Silverado 1500, 2.5” front level with 33/12.50/20 Trail Grapplers. Wanted to keep a similar style with the 4R

    This is my preferred style.

    I like to pick;
    - smallest wheel for less weight.
    - less offset to avoid rubbing issues.
    - no wheels spacers to avoid risk or even avoid stress to tie rods and other components.
    - a wheel with in spec to run the tires I want (in my case 285/70R17 with 7.5in wheels that's with in spec according to tire manufacturers data sheet)
    - a tire with more rubber (high profile) for comfort and plenty room to air down.
    - always pick a tire from a reputable brand and a reputable tire shop with a newest date code
    - ....and few other points like 3pmsf, weight, etc..

I switched my turn signal bulbs to Lasfit led's, switchback in the front. Incredibly bright, so I went with Lasfit reverse lights, huge difference.

The '23 SR5P sat in the garage......blizzard went through last night into this afternoon. Lost power at 6am and just came on a little bit ago. So.......took the Coleman stove and cooked in the garage today and just sat and admired it!

    Today?

Doc visit; breakfast; work; errands at lunch; picked up a friend after work; trap range with said friend; dinner; dropped friend off; dropped off machine parts at another friend's house; and back home. It's been a full day, y'all!

What part of VA are you in? Based on your username, I'm guessing Blacksburg. I'm at JMU until Sunday. Tomorrow, I'm going to shoot 5 Stand at Flying Rabbit Sporting Clays.

    Oooh look, another mod.....
I was at my local dealership for my free 20k mile service last weekend. While I was there they tried to sell me a cabin and intake filter; for $200. Parts & Labor/Install charges. I laughed and said "Kiss me before you try to fuck me." The guy laughed, then I laughed and he said okay, you're all set. No money is owed!

I found both on Amazon for $27. They just arrived and I installed them in under 4 mins.

Then I aired up all the tires because one was low and the others were reading different PSI. I'm so OCD that I had to make sure they matched. Now they do. All 4 are 37 PSI! Then I gave big red a nice cruise through the car wash. So she's shiny!

Oh, the FitCamX I have was doing something weird. It was working, but the time was reading out funny. E.G. The time stamp for 7:13AM was reading out 19:13AM and the 7:13PM reading was 07:13 I was confused because the app doesn't allow for 24hr time read outs. I did a factory reset and all is back to normal. The time reads fine. It was a minor issue, but once I noticed it, it bugged the hell out of me.

Links to the parts I bought. Oh, the cabin air filters come TWO to a pack. Now I have one for the next time I need to change it out.

Hey Borrocho...The engine air filter, is that the thicker variant? I'm only able to find a thin version out here (including the dealership), its about an inch thick but I used to be able to buy the ones that were much thicker (more filter medium).

The closest filter I could find that has the pre-filter element was this one
    Lexus 17801-38051, Air Filter

Sure enough, I'm in southwest VA. A day trip to B'burg on a whim is pretty easy to work out, and we enjoy going when we can.
Thanks for mentioning Flying Rabbit -- I haven't done 5-stand but would like to try it. I'll look them up in a bit.

I did get to hit up a clays course in PA last fall -- it was built around an old quarry, and though the day was cold it was a seriously fun day.

Congrats to your daughter! The VT area is beautiful. I hope she enjoyed her time there.

Yeah, the engine filter is thicker. The stock/oem one is a paper filter. Very thin & flimsy. The one I bought on Bezo's World is thick and beefy! I should have taken a side-by-side picture, but it's to late. I don't want to pull it out for comparison.

You'll just have to trust a stranger on the internet.

I dont generally subscribe to listening to strangers but in this case I'll see if I can look at one in person at the nearby parts store before ordering. If it checks out then you'll have earned some trust points.:D

Good deal, there's a Walmart nearby so I'll take a gander over there. thx!

I will say this about the dealership I take my 4Runner to, they do good work. Sure, they try to rape you on pricing, but the quality of work is pretty darn good. I took my Tacoma there for all the free 25k mile servicing and I've taken my 4Runner there.

Oh, they're offering a special to customers that meet a certain criteria (which I did): $30 oil changes for life. (7yrs/100k miles). They told me I qualified. So I'll be taking it up there for oil changes after the 25k free stuff is up.

I may even get oil changes every THREE THOUSAND miles! (That should start a good argument!).
