Well, after our second huge snowfall in our city we decided to break the bank and have purchased a set of winter steel wheels and Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V2 winter tires. The OEM Bridgestone Dueller H/T tires on our 2018 TRD Off-Road are not built for our snowy and icy conditions and we haven't felt very safe driving the new 4runner. Albeit we did not get stuck in the the deep snow.

The tires are being installed as I type this and I'm hoping that they'll perform as well as the tires in the video that I'll provide a link to below. The video is a 2019 TRD-Pro but is running the same rubber so... I'm excited!!!

Great looking video review of the Blizzaks on a new TRD-Pro below:

I changed some lights, tires and tinted windows...mind blowing huh
Blizzaks are a fantastic studless tire, I have run then on my wife's car for years.

My experience with Blizzaks was that they wore terribly if you keep them on at all after the winter and use them on dry pavement, this was my sons car at the time. I'm talking like two seasons and one was balding. Maybe it was him spinning them I can't speak to that just sayin...

Dry pavement won’t hurt them, hot pavement will. Nothing destroys a winter tire faster than warm weather.

I also have the same Blizzaks, I think next time I’ll either do Hakkapellittas or studded Duratracs

What size steel rims did you get and did you order them online?
