Has anyone experienced their bluetooth cutting out when driving while in a call? I've owned this 2024 4Runner Limited for almost a year and can't use my phone, connected to my radio, while driving, in a call. Every time I am in a call, the bluetooth shuts off adn then tries to reconnect. It's frustrating! I have to turn off my bluetooth every time. Been doing this since new... Fast forward, I took it to the Toyota dealership and they said to cycle the headlights 10 times if it happens. Keep in mind, it happens when I am driving. I am not going to do this because I don't want to be behind someone flashing my lights. It's like the dealership wants me to "roadrage" someone. I have the full warranty, but these people are not wanting to swap out the head unit. There's no TSB for it, but they claim I'm not the 1st one to complain about it... Weird, right? I would love to know if anyone else has experienced it. I guess I can swap out the headunit with an aftermarket one, but why!

I have never had an issue with the blue tooth, and I use it 2 - 3 times a week to make phone calls. Maybe it's your phone?

Here's a few things you can try:

    1) Try using another phone in your 4Runner or try your phone in another vehicle (if you can).
    2) Update the Android or iOS of your phone. The latest iOS is 18.3.1
    3) Go into the head unit and "forget" the phone then re-add it.
    4) Update the Entune software and/or do a factory reset of the head unit.

The only issue I have with blue tooth is if I call someone and they are also using a blue tooth device, there is a slight echo on their end.

I never use Bluetooth. It’s actually permanently turned off on my phone. Use a cable and CarPlay. You don’t need Bluetooth at all.

I use the cable as well and it doe's the same thing. Sorry, forgot to mention that. It fails everytime. I have an iPhone 15 ProMax, total crap phone. Maybe I'll swap it out with an Andriod... Hmmm
