New Guy intro and my 4th gen build

Hello all from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Andrew here just introducing myself and my Rig. Shes a 06 SR5 with 211, ***k on the Chassis and 10 on the V6 motor yes 10!!! I spun the Berring in late June of last year. So, I thought about fixing it cheap and sell it. cause I wanted a Tundra. but then I started looking for parts. And well low and behold they actually had an aftermarket scene. (I literally just used it for daily driving and that's it.) so instead of getting a new engine and just doing a swap... I wanted to just do a rebuild and with some of the money I "saved" we did some upgrades as well.... So, we let the fun begin. the following will just be the upgrades so far. we just got her running 2 days ago and if I can add pictures and videos to the post, I'll do that otherwise they will be in the Comments. nice to meet y'all.

Full stock bottom end rebuild
replaced rods, crank
block machined
new oil pump
New main bearings
New thrust bearing
New piston rings
New VVT solenoids
New plugs
Timing service

Now the upgrades:
Head Machined/ Port and polish
oversized valves
Kelford NA supra springs and retainers
Kelford 256/256 Mild Cam
Exhaust cam gears
upgraded Cam shaft phaser
Mishimoto Low temp racing thermostat
AFE Magnum Stage 2 cold air intake
AFE 76mm Throttle Body
JBA shorty headers
Custom SS exhaust with V-bands straight piped

Nice rebuild. Did you have to go with .020” oversized pistons and .010” bearings?

Interesting to learn about since most people go with a remanufactured engine. I don’t read about many people doing it themselves like this! Nice job

 

Everything on the bottom end was stock replacement. I was looking at doing the stroker kit until I got the sticker shock lol.

 

Also whoever runs this forum or the moderators.... can you make it easier to post pictures and videos it is insanely ridiculously hard to figure out. It took me like 4 hours to figure out how to post 6 pictures and I can't figure out how to post videos of it running
