you also have to take into account that the factory worker is not building just one model on a line, they are building multiple models on the same line from what i have seen from video's but i also could be wrong.
i need someone to correct me if i am wrong on multi model assembly lines.

Toyota has the ability to build multiple models on the same assembly line. Most automakers do. However, TMMBC and TMMGT build Tacomas exclusively.

Recall affects models with 17" wheels installed in production. It's still Toyota's fault of course for failing to conduct adequate fit checks and integration testing with 17" wheels. However, the shitty brake hose routing came from Japan, likely from the LC300 (first TNGA-F model). Early Tacoma test mules even ran LC300 wheels.

These BYD cars are so cheap only because Communist Party of China sponsors them. Plus, they all collect and send data back to China, so they are also national security threat. Banning them was absolutely the right thing to do economically and geopolitically.

False equivalency. CCP is categorically different level of threat than any US Corps, even ones with intel ties. Additionally, a car is categorically different product from IT products like smartphones. If you need to, you can leave a phone behind, but most people cannot do the same with their car.

A better comparison - would you rather use Android and be spied on by Google or cheaper Huawei phone and be spied on by China? My choice is neither, but that takes more effort than most people willing to do.

I might be involved in a criminal activity, marriage infidelity, or unusual hobbies or fetishes; I might attend political or union activities I don't want my employer or social circle to know about, I might be personal friends with people on various watch lists while holding a security clearance, I might have gambling, alcohol or a drug problems, I might belong to a cult or a radical religious organization, I might be consulting with a divorce attorney in preparation for a divorce, or I might not like being targeted by advertising.

    Pick one or more.

Yes, it's not the same, but I don't think those companies care who they sell our data to (anyone willing to pay, I'd wager). So it can end up where we don't want it, anyway.

But I'm with you where practical, and I try not to use Chinese companies' equipment.

There's a recent video game that got kind of popular, and it's free to download and play. I looked it up, and Chinese company, so I thought hmm, maybe there's more to this software than a game, haha.

Can't let the CCP know when I meet with strangers deep in the woods with axes and shovels and worship large fires. I think the codename of this cult activity is called "overlanding".

Worse. I have been sneaking into your garage at night to put THE WRONG BRAND OF OIL into your 4Runner. I also went max torque with power tools on the skid plate bolts and dropped at least a dozen 10mm sockets into the engine bay.

This is just how I roll.
