Uh-oh...cue the miserable bass-turds who will chime in and say, "rock sliders don't prevent door dings!" I've had my 2023 with sliders for 2+ years now and no door dings yet, in spite of parking next to other cars in a parking garage at least 5 days/week...but surely the sliders have nothing to do with it ;)

It'll probably outlast the 4Runner. Most taxis and airport limos in my city are Camry hybrids, Highlander hybrids, and Sienna hybrids (all based on the same platform). Lighter unibody vehicle with independent suspension will typically have better ride and handling.

I was thinking about turning mine black but keeping the red letters. I painted the recovery hooks red , purchased another recovery hook for the right rear and painted those red. Nothing too crazy, just a little subtle.

You’re not wrong, I’ve heard great things about those cars.

There are those of us who never left Camrys and Corollas to commute in 4Runners on lifts and 33 inch ATs.

If people didn't have such a stick up their rear to want to command and conquer the roads in their BOF Syrian Civil War ready SUVs on their way to the office and gym, we would all be in a better place.

Some of us would rather commute in our lifted 4Runners with 35-inch ATs instead of puny 33's. :hattip:

Honestly -- and fueled by a beverage -- I figure a lifted 4Runner on 35s would handle better than a Camry on 35s.

It is rather courteous of folks like you to let the rest of us know to stay away from you in case you make an evasive move in an emergency with your 35s and lifts.

What if the roads you commute on are in worse shape than those in war stricken Syria?

Meh, 35s are an OEM optional size on several trucks and SUVs now. Toyota has always been behind the curve with tire sizing.

The most popular car in Afghanistan is the Corolla station wagon.

Cars with tall sidewall tires handle potholes better than most SUVs and damages are far cheaper to repair.

That may be true in regards to the new Toyota trucks with no bump stops but most other trucks and SUVs have stronger suspension components than cars.
